Bugaboos Heli-Ski Season Comes To An End

Lilla M skiing the Malloy Glacier with the Spires in the background.

It's hard to believe that the 2013/14 heli ski season was much more than a dream. It seems like just yesterday that we were setting up the lodge and getting ready for the first guests. But now it's spring and we closed the lodge for good this morning amidst a heavy snow storm. Five months goes fast when you're living the dream. But then again, time moves quickly whether you want it to or not and all you can really do is hope the ride is friendly. This past winter was good to us in the Bugaboos. We had everything from bomber stability to blinding powder to sustained periods of -30, and we got through it unscathed. Thanks to everyone for the good times and see you next year!

Woke up to this on the last morning. The skiing would have insane!

The weather was much more civilized at the heli-pad in Spillimacheen.

It's always a time in the kitchen.

Shredding with the staff on the final afternoon. I'm going to miss these colorful critters.
